For our black history month, we found out all about the artist Alma Thomas. We learned that Alma was not allowed to go to school because of the colour of her skin and that her mother had to set up a school in her living room. When she grew up, Alma became a teacher herself and taught art to all students.

Alma had a very unique style painting with dots and dashes. We painted our own pictures in her style. We think they look amazing!
