Online Safety

Our first ICT unit in Year 4 is all about how we can stay safe online.  We learn about the potential dangers of opening suspicious email attachments and explore what the terms phishing and malware mean.  We discuss the importance of keeping our passwords and personal details safe whilst we are online. 

Coding

In our coding unit, Year 4  learn how to design, write and debug programs.  We use 2Code-Gibbon and Gorilla to help us develop our coding skills.

Writing for Different Audiences

In this unit, Year 4 learn about how ICT can be used to organise and present information for a range of different purposes including as a news-report, letter and book cover.  Children learn how different fonts and designs appeal to different target audiences.
