Year 3

Addition and subtraction

To help us master addition and subtraction in Year 3 we practice lots of methods to help us gain confidence in this area of maths. 

Multiplication and Division

To help us get confident at being able to explain new mathematical ideas, Year 3 enjoy taking on the role of the teacher and completing sums on the board.  We explain to our peers how we complete a sum. Year 3 is an important year for getting to grips with times-tables and being able to use formal methods to multiply and divide.
