Tell a Story 

Throughout this unit the children developed a range of mark making techniques and their observational drawing skills. Their final piece was created by developing illustrations to tell a story.

Map it Out

The children began this unit by investigating maps as a stimulus for drawing and then had a go at designing their own map. We then divided one map into sections, then working in pairs the children followed the process of making felt. The final piece was amazing!

Drawing

In Art Year 2 have been looking at drawing. As part of this we look at creating texture using a range of different media including marks and patterns. Here are some of examples.

Taking inspiration from the greats

During this unit we explore a range of famous artists including Wassily Kandinsky. We develop different patterns using a range of media.
