Exploring Everyday Materials 

During this unit we explored, described and classified a range of everyday materials. We explored the properties of different materials and used words such as rough, smooth, transparent and waterproof to describe the different materials. 

Animals including humans

In this topic we investigate different animals and their offspring. We look at which animals lay eggs and which animals give birth to live young. We also look at the stages of human development and how each stage is different. Next we look at healthy eating and what a human needs to survive and stay healthy.

Living things and their habitats

In this topic we investigate living things and how we know they are living. We also look at things that used to be alive and things that have never been alive. Next we explore different habitats and what habitats need for animals to survive.
