6th - Parents evening

October

 

3rd - Junior children will walk down to the local rugby club to see Rugby players and watch some rugby.

4th - School will be closed today for all school training.

8th - Year 5 viking workshop at Tullie House. 

9th - Reception will visit Aspatria library. 

10th - Whole school will enjoy a  Dick Whittington performance.

11th - Year 5 and 6 netball coaching at Workington sports hall.

11th - Come along and join Early years at their Harvest Festival assembly 2pm in the school hall.

17th - Reception trip to Stockwood forest school.

17th - Hi five netball at Beacon Hill.

18th - School photographs today.  Little siblings welcome. 

18th - Buds will hold a UV disco at Aspatria rugby club. Infants 4-5.30pm  Juniors 6-7.30pm. Tickets will be on sale from Monday 30th September from the school office.  Glow sticks at the ready!

18th - School will close at normal time 3.15pm for half term. We hope you all have a lovely and safe half term break. School will resume on Monday 28th October. 

28th- School will resume for the second half of the Autumn term. We all hope you have had a lovely half term break.

29th - 2 year old nursery parents session, together time, songs and rhyme.

31st - Pumpkin competition, and Halloween dress up and activity day.

31st - Early years Halloween disco.

 

 

 

September

 

4th - School will begin for the new academic year.  We hope you have all had an enjoyable Summer break and we wish all the children every success and happiness as they embark on their new school year. Good Luck!

4th - ********Friendly reminder*********

After school club will run from 3.15pm to 5pm every day ( Monday to Friday inclusive) at a cost of £4.50. A snack and drink will be given and children can enjoy a variety of activities.

Monday - Crafts

Tuesday - Sports

Wednesday - Baking

Thursday - Science

Friday - Movie

Breakfast club is on daily (Monday to Friday inclusive) from 8am to 8.50am  Just turn up , no need to book.

A selection of cereal, bread, juice and dairy followed by a range of activities and games and a little dance to finish the session off. 

 

10th - Viking assembly. 

12th - Wild river talk for Year 6.

12th - Year 2 will experience a day on Beeches farm where they will see the different animals and what they produce, understand the machinery a farm uses and have some fun with some craft activities too. 

13th - Year 6 trip as a follow up from yesterday's talk, children will experience the wild river first hand. Wellies at the ready!

17th - Junior film club. Relax, sit back and enjoy the movie with a bucket of popcorn. This club will finish at 4.15pm.

19th - 'Awful Egyptians' performance for Year 4 at the Sand Centre.

19th - Hi five netball club for Year 5 and 6.

20th - School will be closed today for all school training.

23rd -  Year 6 assembly from Beacon Hill. A taster talk from Beacon Hill as children think about  which secondary school to go to.

24th - Year 5 will be off to the Lakes college for a science show.

26th - Year 5 Viking trip.

26th - Year 6 trip to Tullie House to learn about the Tudors.

26th - Come along and join us for cake and coffee to raise some money for Macmillan. A good cause, yummy cakes and chance to have a cuppa with friends. 2-4pm All welcome!

 

 

 

 

 

 

July

 

1st -  Children enrolled in secondary education at The Nelson Thomlinson School, Wigton, will experience a Year 7 taster day as they venture to their new school for the day.

1st - The book bus/Library van will be in school for children to choose some new books for their classes.

2nd - Year 2 kinder cricket competition at Maryport.

2nd - Children in Reception and Year 6 will be getting weighed and measured in school time.  Letters will be sent to parents with the results.

2nd - Cheerleading after school club years 3-6.

3rd - It's the event we all love, Sports Day and Summer Fete. A chance for the children to compete in their groups.  Who will it be this year? Blue, red, yellow, purple or orange?  The Summer fete will start immediately after Sports Day where there will be an array of stalls and fun activities.

3rd - Cheerleading after school club.

4th - Swimming lessons for Year 5 and 6.

4th - Year 5 and 6 tag rugby competition at Dearham.

5th - SPLASH! Year 5 and 6 have an exciting day planned as they jump into the blue at Sandcastles waterpark, Blackpool. I'm sure they will have a whale of a time!

9th -  Children enrolled to Beacon Hill Secondary school for September will venture up to their new school for a Year 7 taster day.

9th - Year 1 at the Wave, Maryport for safety day education.

10th - A fun packed day for Year 1 and 2 as they travel to Blackpool for a visit to the Zoo.

 Exploring the park, studying the animals and watching the shows will occupy their day

11th - Swimming lessons for Year 5 and 6.

12th - Early Years trip to Walby farm park. Lots of fun come rain and shine!

15th - Camera, lights, action.....Performance 1. Buy a ticket from the School office  and come along to see amazing acting and singing as characters  set sail in light of treasure in the 'Pirates Of The Curry Bean'. WATCH OUT FOR PIRATES!!! 

16th - Take 2 - Night 2 for the junior performance. Who will win the treasure? "Ahoy, Matey!"

16th - In school cricket coaching for Year 5 and 6.

17th - As a treat for all the hard work of working towards and sitting SAT's,  Year 6 children will swim and bowl their hearts out.  Well done guys!

18th - Sponsored fun run. 1.30pm there will be a fun run for children followed by bouncy castle, bbq and ice-cream van.

19th - Well the end of an era has came as we say good bye to the current Year 6 children. There will be a special leaving assembly held in the school hall at 12.30pm. All parents are welcome. We wish all the children the best of look as they enter their new chapters of education.  

19th - It has been a very busy year and this academic year is ending at 1-15pm. We wish all the staff, children, parents and families a happy, safe and relaxing Summer holiday.
