Blue Dial Farm
In the summer term, Year 3 visit Blue Dail Farm, Moody Cow to explore our local environment linked to the Geography unit on 'Are all settlements the same?' We also explore the local beach at Allonby to make comparisons between our rural locality and that of an urban settlement.
Buttermere
Exploring the Lake District, Year 3 visited the beautiful Village of Buttermere. This area has everything…high fells, a spectacular waterfall and a beautiful lake with a footpath around it. Walking around the Lake, it was approximately 2 kilometres (1.2 miles).

Why is water symbolic?
Learning about the worldwide religions, Year 3 think about the symbolism of water in many religious ceremonies. During the church visit, the children gain hands-on experience of a Christian baptism.
